I often receive questions from people looking for the best film noir box sets to purchase, and my answers vary according to the individual. I also cannot completely evaluate all the Kino Lorber Dark Side of Cinema sets since I have not yet seen them all.

Although the sets I cover here are not comprehensive, I hope this video helps. Know that many of the images go by quickly, so you may need to pause on some frequently.

Films on DVD often get unexpected Blu-ray upgrades, so this information will no doubt change. As always, I'll try to keep you posted when those changes occur.

The free streaming service offers everything from a Yellowstone binge to a 24/7 Gunsmoke channel.

Yellowstone marathons, classic movie westerns starring John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, and enduringly popular series from the Golden Age of TV westerns are among the offerings available during Pluto TV’s Westerns Weeks, a viewer-friendly event running through September 11 on the free advertiser-supported streaming service.

Other feature films on the Western Weeks schedule include True Grit (both the 1969 and the 2010 versions), Silverado, Texas Rangers, and The Quick and the Dead. And there already are entire channels devoted to episodes of Gunsmoke, Wanted: Dead or Alive, The Rifleman, and Heartland.
