Irma'nın uzatmalı nişanslı, işsiz güçsüz ve sahtekar Al ile gittikleri meyve suyu standında kendileri gibi fakir Steve ve Seymour ile karşılaşması ile Al'in sesi güzel olan Steve'in menajeri olmasıyla olaylar gelişir. Yeşil çam filmlerinden çok da farklı değil, izleyecek olanları pişman etmeyecektir. Şarkılı kısım ise 3 yerde geçmekte ve filme bir katkısı yok, uzun da değil.
Filmde de söylendiği gibi, "Bize bir şey olmaz" demeyin, eğer arkadaşım Irma ile yaşıyorsanız her şey olabilir.
